One thing I know for sure, art school never taught me anything about PASSION! It has been a long, long journey to find my voice and myself. As a child I spent endless hours in my grandmother’s sewing room after school learning about family life in Cuba and sewing on the old black grasshopper.
In art school I was a printmaker. Experimentation took me down many paths but with no real spark. Little did I know destiny was just down the road. I felt an unsettled eagerness visiting my neighbor, Gwen Marston, in her studio. A seed was planted, a gentle nudge here, an encouraging word there and…….. I found my PASSION!
