The path to the creation of my Art Jewelry has been long and winding, yet quite fulfilling.
After teaching 4th Grade in the parochial school system for 12 years, I left in the late 1970's to pursue
my passion for creating fine crafts: macrame and candle-making, folk art painting on wood, calligraphy,
paper arts and bookbinding, beading and now metalsmithing have filled these last 30 years.
New interests, acquiring more skills and teaching calligraphy and paper arts through community ed
programs and the Michigan Association of Calligraphers led to acquiring rented studio space in my hometown, where I have worked for the past 14 years.
The art process has always intrigued me as I start with an idea, then let the project lead me to its
completion. Truly I have experienced the art spirit in action
