Larissa McGinnity

A recent graduate of Hollins University, Larissa McGinnity works in both photography and ceramics. She has been selling photographs at Livingstone Studio for five years, and introduced her pottery in 2007. Much of her work involves nature-as inspiration, subject, or decoration. Larissa has an abiding interest in macro-photography, sometimes shooting at such close range that the totality of the form dissolves and only the finest details remain. She has also been known to sit up long nights waiting for that one perfect lightning strike. The style of her pottery leans toward organic shapes and clean, simple forms, eschewing ostentation and clutter.
